Ashland's Skate Park
It is a rad and versatile park with strong and talented locals. It has a mini snake run, three pyramids one with a rail, a dot, lots of coping, a single 6' bowl, a tall "punk wall" (aka a jersey barrier) and a connected set of three bowls ranging from 4-9'. Folks are able to get whirling in the connected bowls, launching every which way they choose.
Directions: There are a couple ways to arrive at Ashland's skatepark. Here is only one: From I-5 take Exit #19 and go south on Valley View. Take the first left at Eagle Mill Road and follow it's curves for a mile or two. Where Eagle Mill kind of forks, go right on Oak Street and over the bridge. Follow Oak through the residential and at the first stop sign, go right on E. Hersey Street. You'll see the skatepark on your left almost immediately. Go left on Water Street and park.

Bear Creek Park - Skate Park
You could drive a school bus in these bowls. The close bowl is 11' and the far is about 7'. The lore is that sometimes "the folks" come and have super gnarly sessions.
Bear Creek also hosts a classic movie in the open air ampitheater Saturday nights. It is free and starts at dusk. Bring a blanket and some homemade popcorn. I was able to catch Shane, an old western, after a day at the skatepark, super cool.

Riverside Park - Grants Pass
Features frontage on the Rogue River, playground, rose garden, large mature trees, shelters, a softball field, a soccer field, lots of grass for picnics and play. During the summer months the park is the home of the Concerts in the Park series. A disc golf course wanders through sections of the park and is another popular feature. It's also right next to main start for Hellsgate Exursions, so you can sit back and relax on the green lawn and watch the hellsgate's boats fly by.
